Between numbers and stories

Finding another kind of pattern

By day, I work as a business analyst, looking for patterns in numbers, systems, and decisions. Away from work, another kind of pattern began to form: a world that kept opening in my head.

I have always been drawn to fantasy. For years, I carried a particular image that refused to leave me. At the beginning of 2024, I finally began writing around it.

How it began

The first fragments

The first pieces were small and disconnected—scenes, moments, and fragments that did not yet belong together. Slowly, certain lines began to meet. The fragments found a pattern, the pattern suggested a direction, and Echofront began to take shape.

The Unlit is my first novel. I am learning the work by doing it: writing, revising, listening, and following the world far enough to discover what belongs there.
