Synopsis
What can be saved when there are no clean answers?
The Unlit follows Lioren, the son of a village healer. He has grown up carrying water, grinding herbs, holding bandages, and watching Father's hands pull people back from the edge. When violence reaches the village, Lioren is drawn deeper into the work he has always lived beside—and into questions Father has spent years refusing to answer.
The story begins close to the hearth: patients, family, old village habits, quiet debts, and the practical work of keeping people alive. Beyond the village lies a wider world still carrying the marks of older wars and choices whose consequences have not finished. The Unlit is an intimate fantasy about care under pressure, inherited choices, and what people hold on to when certainty fails them.
